Last week I posted these tasks for my ToDo list:
1. Make significant progress on the Tickled Pink project.
Done. I made all 24 of these Amethyst Blocks. They were a challenge and I'm glad I stuck with it.
2. Make a red block for the Flowers for Nana Girl lap quilt. (It's a wonderful jelly roll quilt designed by Kim Brackett and is available in her Scrap Basket Sensations book.)
Done. I also made a pink block because I still had pink scraps lying around on my cutting table from the Rhododendron Trail quilt.
While working on these projects, I continued to feed through pieces for my Leader Ender project and it's getting pretty close to being finished. I've started sewing together strips. It's amazing how fast this project has progressed. It feels good to get a quilt from small "squares" I had considered discarding.
Good job on moving projects forward. Your leader ender project looks great. I like those colors together.
ReplyDeleteThanks. It turned out really great. I'm finding these quick scrap projects are addicting.
DeleteI started a stop and go quilt too, the pinwheels but my little brain would like to sew it all at once so I made it a RSC project so I can only work on the colors each month. It is so great we have this wonderful way to work with fabric during these trying times! Stay safe and sew on !
ReplyDeleteYeah, once I had the strips mostly finished I couldn't resist finishing it. I might try and squeeze in another one in reds since RSC is about to change colors.
DeleteI really like your leader/ender quilt! Pretty colors in a simple design make a great quilt. Rhododendron Trail looks fun in your layout, too. It's so interesting to see what people are doing with those blocks.
ReplyDeleteYeah, the leader-ender project is really simple but it's a striking design. I'm sort of in love with it.
DeleteThat leader-ender looks fun! Good luck on your to-do's for the week!
ReplyDeleteLove that leader-ender quilt. It's such a neat design, and it is great to use little pieces and not have them "left behind".
ReplyDeleteThank you for linking up with To Do Tuesday!
Thanks! It's sure quick. I got out of the habit of doing quick quilts so it's a nice change.
