Last week my to-do list was to work on catching up on the Sewcialites QAL. I was successful. I already finished all of the blocks published to date. These are some of my favorites, so far.
Since they only publish one block a week, I think I will turn my attention to some other project for the rest of the month. I have a couple of UFOs on my WOOFA list for the year and it sure would be nice to finish them.I'll be pretty happy if I can get one of them done this week, but it sure would be nice if I could finish them all.
Ooh, those blocks are wonderful! And WOW!! What gorgeous Cathedral Window pieces. And the bag is perfect. Thanks for linking up today!
ReplyDeleteThanks for hosting the TuesdayToDo. It has really helped keep me focused.
DeleteYour Sewcialites blocks are really pretty! I'm impressed with that overnight bag, too. Looks like it turned out great!
ReplyDeleteIt was a fun project, but the material was so thick that I was having a hard time sewing in the lining. Today I opted to just hand sew the layers together. It should be finished tomorrow.
DeleteIs it hard to make a bag out of quilted denim? I love the way it turned out.
ReplyDeleteNot hard, just time consuming. It's a bit of a tedious process because you have to fully line the bag if you want it to be able to bear much weight. I don't trust the denim circles will hold together if we really load up the bag when we go shopping.
DeleteOh my goodness! Those blocks are beautiful! I love piecing with small pieces! That tote bag looks lovely! You are so talented!
ReplyDeleteThank you. Apparently I enjoy making these panels with denim salvaged from dead jeans, but it's a bit of a pain to actually finish the bags. It will take several hours for each.
